L/O: to explore the concept of representation & stereotypes. 

Representation - the media offers the audience an interpretation of the world.

Stereotypical - a generalised representation of a person, place or thing. They are limited and often offensive or used for comedy. 

Nanny - female, old, 

Nurse - female, 

Teenager - argumentative, loud, don't listen, rude

Astronaut - male, rich, white

Football player - male, strong, middle aged

Opera fan - old person

Teacher - female, smart

Tattoo lover - male, strong, tall, black & white men, bald, muscly

Stereotypes - are they reinforced or challenged? 

How are people represented? Year 9 girls are being represented as loud, disruptive, obnoxious. New teacher is being represented as almost like an entertainer trying to make students enjoy learning. 

How do people act?

Careers behind the camera

 Wednesday 20th October 2021 L/O: to explore possible film industry roles and career paths. 1 - C 2 - D       3 - B 4 - A Action, tense and suspense. The moment that has the most tension is when the man wearing a mask is stood on top of the ice with a gun watching someone drown underneath the ice, this is tense because we don't know if the person is going to get out of the ice.  Prediction I think there are going to be 19 cuts in the first 30 seconds of the trailer.  There were 25 cuts in the first 30 seconds if the trailer.  I agree with the statement because every time the cuts get shorter and faster it builds more tension and makes you want to watch it.
